Preserve What Matters

Cascades Cannery is a Central Oregon 501(c)(3) nonprofit enhancing local food security by partnering with farms to turn peak produce into shelf-stable foods that support farmers and the community year-round.

Why Cascades Cannery matters

In-season produce is abundant but perishable. We reduce waste by preserving surplus from local farms, transforming it into nutritious,

Good Food Shouldn’t Go to Waste

Each season, thousands of pounds of locally grown food are lost due to short harvest windows, market limitations, and lack of preservation infrastructure. Farmers are left without options, and valuable food never reaches the community.

We Capture the Season

  • Grown Here
We work directly with local farms to source peak-season produce

  • Preserved Here
We transform fresh harvests into high-quality, shelf-stable foods

  • Shared Here
Our products support farmers, stock local shelves, and extend access to real food year-round
